Abstract
Handwritten character recognition is frequently a frontier area of study in the field of prototype recognition and image processing and there is a large involve for OCR on hand written credentials. Even though, passable studies have perform in foreign scripts like Chinese, Japanese and Arabic characters, simply a very few work can be traced for handwritten disposition recognition of entire world scripts. In upcoming days, character recognition system might dish up as a key factor to create paperless environment by digitizing and processing existing paper documents. In this paper, we have provided the detail study on existing methods for handwritten character recognition.
